Trying to decide on a beautiful location for family or senior photos? Today I'm sharing a maternity session from a park that is well loved in Central FL...Gemini Springs Park!
I've come to truly love the beauty of Gemini Springs, but I'll be totally transparent...this park intimidated me at first. I would even sigh a little each time someone wanted to do photos at Gemini. There is a lot of thick shade and wooded areas, and it took a little work to figure out how to stay true to a bright, natural photography style. Over time, I've explored and been able to find some favorite places in the park with good light and open shade. Now it's become a favorite location for clients who love the outdoors and want greenery and trees in their images!
This beautiful mama wanted to capture maternity images and update family photos. I'm surprisingly happy that we ended up with an overcast evening. Her little guy is adorable but was totally NOT into pictures that day. (I have a 3 year old...this is normal!) It was helpful to shoot in any direction without worrying about harsh shadows and hot spots created by the sun! Here are some of my favorite images of this beautiful family:
